The Association
The Gbarnga Methodist Mission Alumni Association (Association) was established in 1993 by James and Willametta Venn.. Although the Association is based in the United States it's membership is open to all former students, faculty, staff and others who want to affiliate and support the W.V.S Tubman-Gray School (Gbarnga Methodist) regardless of country of residence.

Emblem
The emblem of The Gbarnga Methodist Mission School Alumni Association in the Americas is "The Eagle," a symbol of strength and humanity. This symbol was chosen in 1949 when the school opened its door to the students of Gbarnga, surrounding communities and to students from other parts of Liberia.
As a non-profit 501 (c)(3) entity, the Association goals are exclusively for charitable educational purposes. It will collaborate with the school’s administration to:
William V.S. Tubman-Gray United Methodist School
The school was founded in 1949 by Mr. Samuel Ulysses and Mrs. Vivian Gray, The initial classes were kindergarten through the ninth grade and it included boys and girls dormitories. The school was extended through the 12th grade in 1983 during Mr. Sundaygar Duwah's (9th Grade Class of 1971) tenure as principal.
The institution's name was changed from the the W.V.S. Tubman United Methodist School to the W.V.S. Tubman-Gray United Methodist School in 1984 in recognition of the lifetime contributions the Gray's made to the school, and the impact they had on the students the community and the country.
